Anastacia Drake, 500 RYT, RPYT

I am a registered certified prenatal/postpartum yoga instructor. I also work with many clients who are trying to regain strength, balance, or calm after recovering from an injury, dealing with a disease, struggling with pelvic floor issues, or just wants private instruction because they don't feel comfortable in a regular class. I am also a mom to an amazing boy. I work with women both in groups and individually.
With my guidance you’ll learn how to give support to your body and mind through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices. I am here for you as a support, as a shoulder, as a mother’s helper.

I began my personal journey with yoga as a way to deal with my anxiety. Learning of its benefits, I also began using it to recover from hip and knee problems caused by a car wreck.
As my body and mind transformed, I decided to sign up for my yoga teacher certification to deepen my practice. My goal was to educate and push myself. I was seeking physical, spiritual, and mental strength and solace.
As I worked my way through the program I realized how deeply yoga affected me. My body became more toned, strong, and flexible. I felt energized and composed. Stressful situations became easier to manage and I began to sleep better. After years of physical therapy, self-help books, and short-term fixes, I discovered yoga was the answer for me. Yoga began to fix my body by making me mindful of what was weak and teaching me how to strengthen and nourish as a whole.
Seeing my progress, a close friend asked for lessons to address some of her issues. We began working together to create customized lessons to work towards her goals. She was amazed by her results. What initially became a personal pursuit for well being, soon turned into the desire to share what I had learned. I believe that yoga is for every body, but every BODY is not made to practice it the same way.
In my research, I began learning about the prenatal and postpartum body and mind. As a mother I immediately felt connected. I wished I had this sort of knowledge and support throughout and after my own pregnancy. I began to dive deep into the female anatomy, pelvic floor issues, and how to heal it before, during, and after pregnancy.
I became passionate about offering people yoga tools to benefit their own unique minds and bodies. I believe that yoga can benefit every single person. I believe you only need one person who shows up for you, who meets you exactly where you are, who provides a trusting space, and supports your individual needs. One person who teaches you the skills to feel more grounded, calm, strong and at peace in your mind and your body.
